From March 18 to April 16, a special day of registration and/or updating of the Electoral Register will take place throughout the country, in accordance with the schedule approved by the board of directors of the National Electoral Council (CNE) for the presidential elections on July 28.

In the Regional Offices of the Electoral Power, as reported by the newspaper Última Noticias, Permanent Points for Registration and/or Updating the Electoral Register are available, which operate from 8:30am to 3:30pm, where registrations of new voters can be processed, as well as changes of voting centers, with the sole requirement of presenting the identity card even if it has expired, according to a press release from the CNE.

It is important to note that according to this schedule, between March 21 and 25, the nominations of the candidates for the presidential elections will take place.

Subsequently, between March 28 and April 1, those applications accepted and which were rejected will be announced.

On April 8, candidates will be able to choose their place on the ballot, while on April 29, the Preliminary Electoral Register will be published on the CNE website.
