They denounce the desecration of the grave of Víctor Jara and his wife Joan Turner in Chile

Last Friday, the Víctor Jara Foundation reported that several unknown persons once again vandalized the grave of the Chilean singer-songwriter and his wife, the dancer Joan Turner, in the General Cemetery in Recoleta, Metropolitan Region, with signs demanding the armed forces and the Augusto Pinochet dictatorship.

In addition to the desecration, they reported attacks carried out this week on the House of Memory and the headquarters of the Communist Party in the commune of Copiapó, as well as on the tomb of former president Salvador Allende, deposed by a coup d'etat of the Chilean army in 1973, commanded by General Augusto Pinochet, who imposed an iron military dictatorship.
