The Venezuelan José Altuve hit a pair of hits against the Seattle Mariners, to reach seven consecutive games with at least one uncatchable score.
Altuve went 5-2 with one run scored and one RBI to raise his offensive average to .252.
This is the longest streak, for the Venezuelan, exceeding the six reached in the period from August 2 to 8 of that same month, El Emergente reports on its website.
Altuve is on track to finish the campaign as the third player with the most connected hits this season, currently with 128 in 131 games.
Altuve is ranked 4th in history among Venezuelan-born players with the most multi-hit games in the Majors, behind Miguel Cabrera (897), Omar Vizquel (793) and Luis Aparicio (724).
