The weightlifter Julio Mayora got his ticket to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, at the World Weightlifting Cup, which takes place in Thailand, after lifting a total of 339 kilos in the 73-kilogram category.
In the envión, he surpassed his three attempts by 183, 185 and 188 kilograms to finish with 339 in total.
Mayora became the third Venezuelan in the weightlifting discipline to secure his participation in the world championship, after having achieved it by Anyelin Venegas and Katherine Echandía
The 26-year-old is the 20th athlete from Venezuela who will participate in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and will defend his silver won in Tokyo 2020.
