The fugitive from Venezuelan justice, Iván Simonovis, turned out to be linked to arms trafficking operations and planning terrorist acts against Venezuela, directed from the United States, as reported by the Sectorial Vice President for Policy, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón.

Simonovis has had the help of the Central Intelligence Office (CIA) of the United States and the National Intelligence Center (CNI) of Spain, for the development of these plans.

“We, from Venezuela, demand that the United States government clarify the participation of its agencies, to clarify the use of its territory to traffic weapons to overthrow a democratic government elected by its people,” said Cabello.
