The SPB defines format for the 2024 - 2025 season

The Professional Basketball Super League (SPB) defined the format it will use in the coming season to begin next.

It's about the elimination of conferences and divisions, now there will be two groups A and B with nine teams each. Each quintet will play a total of 24 games, eight at home and eight away, the remaining eight games being one with each rival from the same group.

According to the sports press, if there is a tie, the first criterion that will be taken into account will be the direct duel and the second, as long as the series is even, will be defined by whoever won by the most points in the first two games will be local.

Finally, five teams will qualify for each group but, if there is a difference of less than two games between fifth and sixth place, that fifth place will be defined with an extra game.

The teams will be divided as follows: Group A: Globetrotters from Carabobo,
Broncos from Caracas, Pioneers from Ávila,
Gladiators from Anzoátegui, Spartans from the Capital District, Frontinos De Tachira, Brillantes del Zulia, Toros de Aragua, and Llaneros de Guárico.

Group B will be confirmed by Crocodiles from Caracas, Marinos de Oriente, Panthers from Miranda, Pipers from Zulia, Diablos de Miranda, Guaiquerís from Margarita, Heroes from Falcón, Pirates from La Guaira and Centauros from Portuguesa.
