The Ridiculous Platanazo and a New Victory for the People

On April 30, 2019, the fascist right launched a new plan to try to seize political power in Venezuela, but, like all its actions, it ended in the failure of opposition extremism and in the victory of the People.

The so-called “Banana Coup” was a new ridicule for the opposition, which only resulted in the escape of the murderer Leopoldo López. The most radical sector of the right wing participated in the action, with figures such as María Corina Machado, Juan Guaidó and others who, five years later, deny their frustration.
