The Professional Basketball Super League (SPB) announced the debut of the debut of the Pioneros del Ávila team, a quintet that will be part of the league starting in the 2024 season.
Pioneros del Ávila was born after the change of place of Cangrejeros de Monagas and will become the fourth team to live in the country's capital. The SPB reported that the “Elio Estrada Paredes” General Mayor Gymnasium with a capacity of 1,000 people and located in Roca Tarpeya in the southwest of Caracas will host the franchise that will form part of the league's Eastern Conference.
