The Ombudsman's Office supervised 689 educational institutions at the start of the 2026-2027 school year

The Office of the Ombudsman carried out a national deployment that included 689 public and private educational institutions, within the framework of the beginning of the 2026-2027 school year, as reported by the agency on its website.

The inspection days made it possible to verify the reinstatement of teaching staff and to evaluate the conditions for the return of the student population in 76 municipalities of the country.

The provision of public services in the centers visited was also verified and the provision of the School Feeding Program (PAE) was verified.

The surveillance operation made it possible to characterize 368 basic schools, 107 initial education centers, 86 secondary schools, 52 universities, 44 educational complexes, 22 technical schools and 10 special education institutions.

These actions, the Office of the Ombudsman ensures compliance with articles 102 and 103 of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, aimed at guaranteeing the right to education.
