The number of Palestinians killed by the Israeli Army in the Gaza Strip has increased to almost 45,600 since the start of hostilities in October 2023, according to data from the Gazan Ministry of Health published on its Telegram channel.

“The number of fatalities from Israeli actions in Gaza since October 2023 has risen to 45,581, and the number of injured to 108,438,” details a statement quoted by the TASS news agency.

The Gaza health department stressed that 28 Palestinians lost their lives and 59 were injured by Israeli bombardments in the enclave in the past 24 hours.

Israel remains in disregard of the United Nations (UN) Security Council resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire, it has continued its brutal offensive in the Gaza Strip since the Palestinian group Hamas attacked on October 7, 2023.

The Israeli onslaught has affected almost the entire population of the territory in the midst of an ongoing blockade that has caused a serious shortage of food, drinking water and medicines.

Israel launched a military operation in the enclave with the objective of destroying the military and political structure of Hamas and freeing all those kidnapped. The fighting in the Gaza Strip continues to this day.
