Venezuelan Rómulo Otero scored the goal of Santos FC's 1-0 victory over Palmeiras in the first leg of the Campeonato Paulista final .

Otero started, played 70' minutes and at 48' with a powerful header he scored the goal that would give Santos the victory.

For his outstanding performance, the Venezuelan offensive flyer was awarded the Best Player of the Match.

For his part, his compatriot and teammate Tomás Rincón entered the field at minute 84'.
