The drums are ringing! Hundreds of cultivators arrive in Caracas for the Viva Venezuela World Festival

Through the social network X, the Minister of Popular Power for Culture, Ernesto Villegas, highlighted that hundreds of the country's cultivators come to Caracas to be present at the Viva Venezuela World Festival, My Beloved Homeland, where 10,000 drums will also rumble.

“It caught on! The Afro-descendant peoples of #Venezuela arrive in #Caracas to celebrate #DíaDeLaAfrovenezolanidad with 10,000 drums by José Leonardo Chirino at the Simón Bolívar Monumental Stadium. Inauguration of the Viva Venezuela, My Beloved Homeland World Festival,” Villegas wrote on the social network.

During this festival, there will be activities such as the making of a four and a drum, instruments that will then be tuned live, as well as other handmade pieces. To open at five in the afternoon, a party will be organized with the participation of Lilia Vera, Iván Pérez Rossi and Gualberto Ibarreto, who will pay tribute to Venezuelan singers and authors.

Next, the cult of Saint Anthony of Padua in the state of Lara will be presented. Artists such as Francisco Pacheco, Juan Carlos Aponte, José Miguel, Arteaga and Mario Díaz will participate in the Tuyero Block. Then the Dancing Devils from the states of Aragua, Miranda, Cojedes, Guárico, Carabobo and La Guaira will enter.

The fun group “Escobita de Monte” and other groups will participate in the Eastern Bloc. There will be a demonstration of the drumbeat of Macizón and Perra de La Guaira drums, and Kombilesa Mi will be presented from Colombia.

The fusion of music, rhythms, songs and tradition will also be present with the cult of San Benito —Vasallos Chimbangueleros (Zulia); Damas Chimbangueleras (Trujillo) and the Parranda de San Pedro (Miranda). In the Llanero Block, El Cubiro, La Negra Linares, Cristóbal Jiménez, Eimer Escalona, Antonio González, Coplero, InfanFL (Portuguesa and Anzoátegui) Pioneers of the plain and dances will show their talent.
