The sector vice president for Public Security and Peace, AJ. Remigio Ceballos Ichaso, reported that in the fight against the crime of human trafficking, 16 criminal gangs were dismantled.

During a meeting with the members of the Integrated Criminal Investigation System, he specified that 42 people were captured and 55 victims rescued.

In this regard, he explained that the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations Corps (CICPC), together with the Bolivarian National Police Corps (CPNB), is constantly carrying out cyber patrols, in order to explore in virtual space those who use social networks to commit this type of punishable acts.

He also urged the population to report these actions through the telephone number (0212) 952-85-51 of the National Office for Assistance to Victims of Violence (ONAIVV).

“Timely and direct reporting is necessary so that we can go after these criminals who use social networks (...) so we will continue to move forward to bring to justice those who try to take away the peace and well-being of our people,” said the Sectorial Vice President.
