After the conflict that developed within the opposition in Venezuela over the nomination of candidates, they finally reached an agreement to decline most of the candidacies and support Edmundo González Urrutia.

Twelve opposition people registered to participate in the presidential elections of July 28 in Venezuela; the registration period for candidates, between March 21 and 25. At the end of the deadline, there were 13 entries submitted by 37 political organizations.

In the midst of the shock, the Constitutional Chamber of the Supreme Court again ordered the appointment of a board of directors chaired by Deputy José Brito, whom it authorized to use the First Justice card and symbols in electoral processes.

For his part, Luis Eduardo Martínez, is the presidential candidate of the Democratic Action (AD) party led by Bernabé Gutiérrez, and received last Monday, April 22, the support of the political leader for the Copei party, Juan Carlos Alvarado, who declined his candidacy.
