The Bolivarian Government estimates that it will distribute more than 266 tons of fish during Holy Week

During 2024, four million 650 thousand kilos of seafood will be distributed nationwide

The Deputy Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture Processing and Distribution, Prisángel Pérez, reported that the Bolivarian Government, through Operation Venezuela Eats + Fish 2024, expects to distribute more than 266,000 kilos of marine protein in the country's 23 states for the rest of Holy Week.

During the Coffee in the Morning program, broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión, he explained that among the species offered to the people are the curvina, cataco, tuna, sardines, coporo, catfish, cachama and river curvina, among others.

The vice-minister explained that “Operation Venezuela Eat+Fish has several types of fairs, such as the Great Cardumen Fair, which offers items such as vegetables and processed foods.”

Regarding other types of fairs, he mentioned municipal deployments in different states, direct sales to parishes through fishermen's councils, and others.

On the other hand, Pérez stressed that the Ministry of the People's Power of Fisheries and Aquaculture plans to distribute four million 650 thousand kilos of seafood on a national scale during 2024.

“Until last Sunday, 943,000 kilos had already been distributed throughout the national territory,” he stressed.
