This Wednesday, January 31, the 2024 season
of the Venezuelan Football League (
FUTVE League) was officially presented, in which 14 teams will participate, in the highest category of the Venezuelan soccer ball.
During a press conference, the
FUTVE League confirmed that Ureña SC, champion of FUTVE League 2, will not play this season
in the First Division by its own decision.
This team will continue to
participate in the second division. “This is the club's own decision, as
it is carrying out infrastructure work in its stadium.”
He also announced that the Conmebol Libertadores Group
Stage is not the opening and
closing champions, but the absolute champion and the best in the cumulative table. “It seeks
to reward regularity.”
On the other hand, the official ball with which the 2024 season will be played was also
announced: the Adidas
Conext24 Pro.
Among the
new features is that the FUTVE League will implement the Video
Assistant Referee (VAR) system during this 2024 season. “it will be done progressively
over the weeks”.
As for the downward theme, it will remain in a downward and an upward trend.
