The 19th edition of FILVEN arrives in Mérida this Friday (+5A)

The 19th Venezuelan International Book Fair (FILVEN) in Mérida will be held from this Friday, April 5th to Sunday, April 7th at the entity's Tulio Febres Cordero Cultural Center, in the Libertador municipality, under the motto “Reading meets us again”.

According to information from Venezolana de Televisión, during this fair, tribute will be paid to the national writers Carmen Delia Bencomo, Domingo Alberto Rangel Bourgoin, Armando Carías, and at the regional level to the writers Benito Mieses, Gladys Gordones and Elena Molina.

In addition, the national training coordinator of the National House of Letters Andrés Bello and coordinator in the Andean entity of the pilot of the Training School, Benito Mieses, will present his books “Name the Landscape” (Edition, The Dog and the Frog) and Fall and Ascension (Ediciones Madriguera).

For her part, the anthropologist and teacher with research focused on the recognition of the country's ethnic groups, Gladys Gordones, will present her book Management of Plant Resources (Ediciones Madriguera).

In addition to book presentations, there will be talks, conferences, workshops, a children's pavilion and artistic activities as part of the FILVEN Mérida program.
