The Texas Latin American Oil Workers Association (ALEP) calls on Exxon Mobil to help radical groups carry out attacks against the Venezuelan oil industry.
Alejandro Terán, president of the Texan oil tankers group, told the newspaper Última Noticias that the recent accident that occurred in Monagas that affected the gas supply at the oil belt level and that of all oil operators “attracts a lot of attention because of the way in which it occurs and because of the way in which they agree on the operation of the West.”
“I think we are in the presence of an attempt to paralyze the oil operation to affect gas production and bring the country into complex situations,” he said.
He argued that as operators and service providers of the North American oil industry, they note that these events demonstrate a clear intention to destroy and attack the Venezuelan oil industry.
“ I have said on several occasions and I confirm that the one behind all these attacks is Exxon Mobil, which supports radical groups to destroy the oil industry and to attack American workers, who in some way or another are here in Venezuela doing the best we can to boost Venezuelan production,” said Terán.
In that regard, Terán urged foreign oil operators in the country to raise their voices and reject Exxon Mobil 's actions against Venezuela.
“We oil tankers repudiate this conspiracy that Exxon Mobil has been carrying out for more than 20 years against Venezuelan oil activity and to the detriment of North American oil tankers that have operations in the country. We want to work quietly hand in hand with the Venezuelan oil industry,” he said.
In recent days, several attacks have been carried out to create anxiety among the population and wreak havoc on the national economy, through the destruction of the productive infrastructure of Petrleos de Venezuela ( PDVSA).
