Teresa Carreño Theater received distinction as Ambassador of Cultural and Monumental Heritage of Venezuela

The Teresa Carreño Theater received recognition as Ambassador of the National Cultural and Monumental
Heritage of Venezuela, during a ceremony
held in the Ríos Reyna room of the cultural complex.
According to information from the Ministry for Culture, the award
was presented by the president of the Instituto Marca País, Andreína Tarazón
Bolívar, and the Deputy Minister of Audiovisual Culture, Miqueas Figueroa Yepes, to the director of the theater, Gustavo Arreaza.
The activity was preceded by the “Academicism and Modernity” gala,
starring the Teresa Carreño Theater Ballet together with the Francisco de Miranda
Symphony Orchestra, which presented a classic and
contemporary repertoire, including the world premiere of “Ánima”, by Inés Rojas.
Recognized as an emblematic work of modern architecture, the Teresa Carreño Theater constitutes one of the main spaces for the development of performing and musical arts in Venezuela.
