Technical Committee develops parameters to protect intellectual property of Venezuelan crafts

The National Technical Committee for the Standardization of Venezuelan Crafts works to standardize and promote these products in the country.

At a recent meeting, they discussed the classification and organization of terms related to Venezuelan craftsmanship, as well as the variation of techniques applied in the sector.

The meeting was a significant step in establishing Intellectual Property and the implementation of a quality seal for georeferenced areas. Additionally, the Cultural Heritage Institute presented information on declared and undeclared assets and those of cultural interest.

The meeting also allowed us to deepen the importance of preserving and valuing Venezuela's cultural heritage, to ensure its continuity over time. These initiatives are fundamental to strengthening our cultural heritage and ensuring that future generations can enjoy and learn from our artisanal traditions.

The National Technical Committee and the Cultural Heritage Institute hold meetings to consolidate the defense and promotion of Venezuelan handicrafts. This is through working together to protect and value the cultural expressions that are part of identity.
