To date, 36 people have been arrested for being linked to the 5 conspiracy plans that were denounced on January 15 by the President, Nicolás Maduro.

This was reported by the Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, during a press conference held this Friday in which he explained that for these events, 22 citizens are still pending arrest.

In this regard, he assured that on January 23, another 11 arrest warrants were issued, of which 8 remain to be specified. “For the Brazalete Blanco case, there are 12 detainees and 17 people to be captured,” he said.

He also explained that for the High Conspiracy case there are 11 detainees and 3 people to be captured; For the Guasdualito Espionage case there are 3 detainees; For the La Viñeta case there are 5 detainees and 2 people to be captured.

In his appearance before the press, Saab showed a series of videos recorded by one of those arrested from his cell phone that show that the conspirators were keeping an eye on various military units in the country.

“What ideological flag can these people we have presented have? Obviously they are mercenary minds that are sold to the highest bidder; and if the Public Ministry does not act, it leads to an implosion. Venezuela is not Ecuador or Peru. Here is a peaceful, hardworking people, in economic prosperity; who want to procreate and live in peace,” said the prosecutor.
