Tanía Díaz: Nicolás Maduro has been a great driver of the sanctification of José Gregorio Hernández

President Nicolás Maduro has been the biggest driver of sanctifying the “doctor of the poor”, José Gregorio Hernández, said the deputy to the National Assembly, Tania Díaz.

In this regard, during the podcast Sin Truco ni Maña, the parliamentarian recalled how the Head of State took charge of everything related to the work to ensure that José Gregorio Hernández was brought to the altars, even when he asked Pope Francis to do so on several occasions.

“President Nicolás Maduro has been a great driver of the sanctification of José Gregorio Hernández. Do not think that we are saying this because of a political issue, because we have seen what the process has been like to assert that José Gregorio is, without a doubt, the saint of of Venezuela and beyond,” he said.
