The deputy to the National Assembly (AN), Tania Díaz, stressed that today Venezuela is honored that the National Constituent Congress of Mexico granted Mexican citizenship 200 years ago to the Liberator Simon Bolivar.

From the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, we want to honor the memory and the gesture of those legislators who made not only the heroic feat of the Liberator resonate in the National Constituent Congress, but also his republican virtues, Rodríguez would say, his Americanist passion and his absolute dedication to the cause of freedom,” said Díaz during the Solemn Session of the AN on the occasion of the Commemoration of the Bicentennial of the Designation of Liberator as a Mexican citizen.

In that regard, he extended his gratitude to the People of Mexico and to President Andrés Manuel López Obrador for such an honorable gesture with the Father of the Fatherland.

Also, after referring to a poem by Andrés Eloy Blanco, he stressed “today, thanks to God, to Hugo Chávez and to the courageous people of Venezuela, we can say that we have the Bolivar of bread to overcome the war of faith and hunger that they tried to impose on us, that we have done to the Crystal Bolivar to look at us and reproduce ourselves today in the 21st century in their Popular Army of free men and women that we will not leave under any circumstances to take back their flags of justice and sovereignty; and with respect to our Bolivar of air, still He travels through lands and raises hearts in this region that owe him the achievement of South American union”.

He reaffirmed that in Venezuela it was Commander Chávez, who removed the Liberator from the statues and raised his flags again. At the same time, he highlighted how when Peoples raise their voices, dirty campaigns rise up from the centers of power to discredit figures such as those of the Father of the Fatherland.

“Bolivar is still alive and the colonialist empires are also alive,” he said, stressing the importance of Latin America's union against those empires that always seek to take advantage of our resources.

“The neocolonialist project that emerges today, with the face of fascist liberalism, seeks to impose on our America, it could go as far as a balkanization to plunder resources that are now indispensable and vital, but Chávez came in the 21st century, as the lightning of catatumbo flashed luminous regenerating the example and thought of Bolívar,” he reaffirmed and emphasized, reminding President Nicolás Maduro that our path today is that of the liberators and liberators of all time.

It is important to note that during the speech, the deputy Tania Díaz gave a historical account of the events leading to the granting of Mexican citizenship to the Liberator Simon Bolivar, as well as of the struggle that Venezuela has been waging in recent years against North American imperialism, which today continues to accuse us of being “an unusual and extraordinary threat” and imposing more than 900 unilateral coercive measures on us.
