Syria condemns US interference with Cuba

The Syrian Arab Republic condemned the interference of the United States (US) in the internal affairs of Cuba, through the foreign ministry it rejected the approach and distortion of facts for destabilizing purposes.

In a statement, the Syrian government said: “Undoubtedly, the difficult economic situation on the island is due to Washington's immoral policies and illegal sanctions that led to a suffocating financial, commercial and economic blockade that lasted more than 64 years.”

He also points out that if Washington were so interested in the Cuban people, it would immediately lift sanctions.

Damascus urged the international community to assume its responsibilities and take action on the matter so that the blockade can be lifted and allow Cuba to achieve the development it needs.
