SUNAD carries out preventive activities at 179 checkpoints nationwide

The National Anti-Drug Superintendency (SUNAD) is deployed at 179 checkpoints distributed throughout the country, as part of the Safe Holy Week 2024 device, to carry out preventive activities and apply toxicological tests as mechanisms of action against drug use.

This was reported by the National Anti-Drug Superintendent, Richard López Vargas, from the “Taborda” Citizen Service Point of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), located in the Puerto Cabello municipality of the state of Carabobo, during a supervision carried out on the device, in the account of the social network X, of the Ministry of Popular Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace.

López stressed that “this supervision plan is developed to guarantee the safety of drivers during the Major Week, this device is made up of the Preventive Front and integrates all the competent bodies in the area of public safety.”
