The Superintendency of Banking Sector Institutions (SUDEBAN) reported that bank branches and ticket offices will suspend their operations to the public across the country next Monday, October 26, due to the holiday for San José Gregorio Hernández Day.
The institution noted that some financial institutions could keep their external service points operational, mainly those located in shopping centers. For this reason, users should consult the web portals of their respective banks to verify the availability of care and plan their procedures.
This decision is based on Article 68 of the Decree with Rank, Value and Force of Law on Banking Sector Institutions, a regulation that empowers the agency to govern the vacation schedule and that is mandatory for the financial system. During the day, electronic channels such as online banking, cash machines and points of sale will remain active to ensure the continuity of citizen transactions.
