Spain will participate in the International Court of Justice proceedings against Israel for genocide

This Thursday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs in Spain, José Manuel Albares, declared that his country will participate in the process initiated by South Africa against Israel in the International Court of Justice (ICJ) due to the genocide perpetrated in the Gaza Strip.

The head of the entity explained that Spain has taken this decision due to the extension of the military operation in Gaza and the “enormous concern” generated by the spread of the conflict in the region.

In his statement to the media, the head of Spanish diplomacy expressed his intention to ensure compliance with the precautionary measures established by the Court to stop the military operation, which have been recalled as mandatory for all parties.
