The Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Africa, Naledi Pandor, warned the citizens of her country to fight in the ranks of the Zionist army or with Israel in the Gaza Strip, who will be arrested once they return home, stressing that this is complicity in the genocide against the Palestinian people.

During an event of solidarity with Palestine, the South African Foreign Minister pointed out that the Israeli genocidal war against Gaza, which began in October, has claimed at least 31,300 civilian lives, and caused one of the worst humanitarian catastrophes of the century, in addition to displacing 85% of the population of the enclave, while 60% of the territory's infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed, according to the United Nations (UN).

“We are ready. When they return home, we will arrest them,” said the diplomat, addressing the South Africans involved in the brutal Israeli military offensive in the Gaza Strip, a warning that was greeted with applause from the participants in the event.

Pandor urged the population to protest in front of the embassies of the five countries he called “main supporters” of the Israeli regime and its bloody military offensive against Gaza, in clear reference to the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany, among others.

South Africa, which has a significant Jewish population of around 70,000 people, is a traditional defender of the Palestinian cause and the first country to denounce Israel before the International Court of Justice (ICJ) for committing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.
