The Simón Bolívar Humanitarian Task Force will be deployed next June to respond quickly to any contingency that occurs in the country as a result of the rainy season, said Deputy Minister of Risk Management and Civil Protection, M/G Carlos Pérez Am.

In this regard, I point out that this deployment will be carried out within the framework of the contingency plan to reduce the risks caused by the rainy season that the National Government activated this Thursday.

“This task force will be deployed with collection centers in 5 regions. We are prepared and aware that events may come and that is why we are reviewing plans and coordinating with states to learn about threats and vulnerabilities,” he said.

On the other hand, Pérez Ampointed out that the plan to deal with the rainy season contemplates different levels of action, such as municipal, state and national levels.

“We have all the contingency protocols for any event that happens. This plan is a fundamental tool because it allows the activation of the Higher Risk Status to evaluate and diagnose factors and threats to municipalities,” he said.
