• Sergio “El Flaco” Rodríguez is another of the thousands of victims of the repression of the Fourth Republic.
• His assassination occurred during Ramón J. Velázquez's brief presidency (05-06-93 to 02-02-94), when he was chased and shot at the corner of El Chorro on Avenida Universidad de Caracas, by agents of the Metropolitan Police (PM).
• Forensic medical information indicated that the shot that took the life of Sergio Enrique Rodríguez Jansen was fired remotely and the projectile was fired by an expert.
• The city**, ** that day, was surrounded by PM and National Guard (GN) pickets. The police cordoned off urban and suburban roads to “avoid disorder” of hundreds of thousands of people who came out to demonstrate, peacefully, demanding the release of the military defendants for the 4F.
