SENIAT extended the deadline for declaring Income Tax to May 15

The National Integrated Customs and Tax Administration Service (SENIAT), reported that the deadline for declaring and paying Income Tax (ISLR), corresponding to Fiscal Year 2023, was extended until May 15, 2024, on instructions from the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro.

The announcement was made by SENIAT, through its social network account X, in which it emphasized that the Bolivarian Government made this decision with the intention of strengthening the tax culture in the country, in order to give taxpayers the opportunity to comply with their tax obligations in a comfortable and safe manner.

According to the regulations, individuals who choose to pay the ISLR in portions, the date of payment of the first portion will correspond to that provided for in the articles.

The second and third parts will be paid in accordance with the provisions of Article 1 of Administrative Order No. SNAT/2003/1697, published in the Official Gazette of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela No. 37,660, dated March 28, 2003.

This extension applies to natural and legal persons not classified as Special Taxable Subjects, whose fiscal year runs from January 1 to December 31, 2023.
