Security forces continue inspections in Caricuao after heavy rain

During this week, citizen security forces, including the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), Bolivarian National Police (PNB) and Civil Protection, are still active in an inspection in the Caricuao parish, to address the damage caused by recent rainfall.

The information was provided by the mayor of C aracas, Carmen Meléndez, on her account on the social network Instagram, in which she noted that as a result of the rainfall, several houses in the community were affected in their structure.

In that regard, he referred to the situation in sector UD2, Zone A, Terrace 1 of Caricuao, where a landslide affected a group of houses and unfortunately caused the death of two people.

“More than 300 members of the public security forces have been active in responding to this emergency, providing support to families in the sector, especially those most affected,” he said.

He also mentioned that the care day included the review of homes, the establishment of security measures and the provision of assistance to the victims. “The security and Civil Protection forces have worked in a coordinated manner to mitigate risks and provide support to the affected community,” he said.

He highlighted that this intervention is part of the efforts to guarantee the safety and well-being of citizens in the face of the adverse weather conditions that have impacted Caracas in recent days.

“The rapid and effective response of the security forces underlines the commitment to protecting and supporting vulnerable communities in the region, we will be attentive and prepared for the rains,” he said.
