This Friday, December 13, the sectoral vice-president for Politics, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, denounced the abandonment of traffic on the highway that connects the states of Trujillo and Zulia.

We came from Trujillo, an impeccable, scratched road, without holes of any kind, clean around the edges, but we entered Zulia, this here is repetitive, the mountain eating up the road (...) there is no government in the state of Zulia,” he said while showing the gaps and the poor condition of the road.

He stressed that the deterioration and poor condition of the roads in the Zulian entity, “is a matter of conscience, of lack of government”, since the trunk should have its stripes and shoulders, both elements do not exist; not to mention that the mountain “is eating up the road” and where two cars should pass, almost only one passes by.

“It's a lack of attention and an absolute abandonment of this viability (...) a wrecked road,” he said while urging the governor of Zulia, Manuel Rosales, that he should get to work.

“Leave the conspiracy theory and get to work, to do your job as governor, this road is a disaster, this is your responsibility as governor, get to work (...) where is the money they give you. Do you steal it? What are you doing with that money? Do you use it to conspire? When you are going to serve your town, if that's the way the roads are, I couldn't imagine what the schools, the hospitals in the state of Zulia will be like, a disaster,” he said.

In addition, he also highlighted the lack of road safety officials. “All the way from Mene Grande, I haven't seen a single policeman from the state of Zulia (...) not a single one,” he said.
