SAPI delivered the certificate of protected geographical identification to Cocuy Larense

With the objective of promoting the recognition and protection of products native to the state of Lara, the Ministry of National Commerce, through the Autonomous Intellectual Property Service (SAPI), issued the certificate of use of the Protected Geographical Indication or PGI to the Cocuy Larense of Guaros producers, which grants the rights to identify the product, recognition and flavor and aroma qualities of this beverage.
The IGP of Cocuy Larense, as reported by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), was received by Governor Aldolfo Perira, Cristóbal Sánchez, Roque Zapata and Juan Israel Arévalo producers of cocuy, which will boost the local and regional productive and economic sector, which will guarantee the improvement of added heat in the production process of this beverage with an export seal.
