Santos Inocentes Foundation presented the official brand “Locos por La Vela”

The Santos Innocentes Foundation officially presented the brand “Locos por La Vela”, which will identify the XI International Festival of the Locos and Locainas, scheduled for December 27 and 28 in La Vela de Coro, Falcón state.

The president of the organization, Pedro Chacón, reported that logistical preparations are under way and confirmed the participation of delegations from Aruba, Curaçao, Colombia, Brazil and Bonaire, with the purpose of strengthening cultural exchange and integration between peoples.

The celebration will bring together cultivators, communities, institutions and visitors around one of Falcón's most representative traditions. At the same time, the organization highlighted the articulation of more than 54 thousand cultivators in 14 states and 54 municipalities in the country, who keep the traditional demonstrations alive during December and January.

This edition seeks to contribute to the preservation of Falconian identity and to support the preparation of the file to submit the tradition of the Locos and Locainas to UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
