The negotiating delegation in Sana'a reported that Saudi Arabia formally broke the period of truce in Yemen by bombing the facilities of the Sana'a International Airport. The head of the diplomatic representation, Mohammed Abdul-Salam, stated that the air strike was carried out despite previous warnings and in open ignorance of the commitments made to maintain stability in the region.

Representatives from Sana'a maintained direct and indirect contacts with Riyadh and promoted various initiatives of understanding to stop hostilities before the military aggression. During the talks, mediators from the Sultanate of Oman presented a five-day ceasefire plan, a proposal accepted by Sanaá but neglected by the Saudi side, as reported by Telesur through its Telegram account.

The Yemeni side conditioned the cessation of the escalation on immediate compliance with the demands for humanitarian assistance for the civilian population. However, Sana'a spokespersons pointed out that Riyadh's response lacked the will to respond to social requests, which prevented the creation of a framework of coexistence and protection for civil aviation.

For his part, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Sana'a, Abdul-Wahid Abu Ras, blamed the coalition led by Riyadh for hindering international efforts aimed at pacifying the nation. The official emphasized that the alliance's refusal to resolve the social crisis aggravates the situation in the country and curbs any possibility of lasting negotiation.
