On May 13, 2001, the writer Salvador Garmendia died in the city of Caracas, a teacher who, with versatility, managed to collect a significant number of works that cover various genres of literature.

This Barquisimethane, born on June 11, 1928, stood out for his skill for narrative, starting at an early age as a screenwriter for radio theater and radio soap operas, whose work consisted of adapting great works to this format.
