Salvador Garmendia: Teacher who drew the infinity of literature with his pen (+seeding)

On May 13, 2001, the
writer Salvador Garmendia died in the city of Caracas, a teacher who, with versatility,
managed to collect a significant number of works that cover various genres of literature.
This Barquisimethane, born on June 11, 1928, stood out for
his skill for narrative, starting at an early age as a
screenwriter for radio theater and radio soap operas, whose work consisted of adapting great works to this format.
His work earned him several awards, including the
National Prize for Literature, for the short story book “The Hiding Places” (1972); Juan Rulfo Latin American and Caribbean Literature Award
in the short story short story, with the
story “As naked as a stone” (1989) and
Two Oceans Award from France (1992).
Salvador Garmendia dies at the age of 73 as a result
of a lung condition. Today, 23 years after the physical departure of this
illustrious Venezuelan, the people honor the legacy of this master of letters who
crossed with great skill all the boundaries of the art of writing.
