The Administrative Service for Migration and Aliens Identification (SAIME) in Bolivar carries out more than 3000 daily procedures in its four operational offices, to serve the indigenous population.
As part of these initiatives, a new system has been implemented that allows users to self-manage their procedures over the internet, streamlining the appointment scheduling process and optimizing office service. Since its implementation in 2023, this system has made it possible to treat more than 160,000 cases in Bolivar.
In addition, a prioritized care module was enabled for adults over 60 years of age, guaranteeing their access to the identification card in an expedited manner. For children and adolescents, the procedures are scheduled online, making it easier for parents and representatives to manage the required documents.
SAIME has also demonstrated its commitment to the dignity of indigenous peoples, with the promotion of national sovereignty through the issuance of indigenous cards with permanent attention in each office.
In addition, a special registration day was held in Tumremo, in the municipality of Sifontes, where more than 6,159 people have been treated from December to February.
