Saime issued more than 800,000 documents during the first quarter of 2024

A total of 818,038 procedures between travel documents and identification were carried out by the Administrative Service for Identification, Migration and Aliens (Saime), during the first quarter of the year, the Ministry of Interior, Justice and Peace reported in a press release.

In the first three months of 2024, more than 190,000 travel documents, both national and consular, were issued; while more than 4,623 passport extensions were sent to the various Venezuelan consulates abroad, which had been requested by citizens living in other parts of the world.

Similarly, in the first quarter of 2024, 618,628 Identity Cards were issued both for renewal and identification for the first time, of which 227,344 were issued during the month of March.

In addition, the Saime social programs have been successfully implemented: The “Indigenous” Route, “José Gregorio Hernández”, “Manuelita Sáenz” and “Saime Goes to School”, with more than 49,872 Venezuelans who have their respective Identity Cards
