The Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, reported that the Public Ministry (MP) is making progress in investigating the case of officials of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB), who were arrested for seriously injuring a 17-year-old boy in the Antímano parish.

Through his account on the social network X, he pointed out that the MP acts “through the #Fiscalías 94 Nac and 126 AMC attached to Human Rights”.

In the message, he specified that the MP is making progress “in the investigation of the brutal event that occurred on 26/05/24 in the parish # Antimano: where the 17-year-old adolescent E.F.M. was seriously injured -for the mere fact that he was performing pirouettes-: shot down by #PNB officials.”

Saab indicated that “it was possible to determine that one of the acting officials had evaded the #flagrante process, but #HOY was placed at the disposal of the corresponding auxiliary body for prosecution, thus the 4 officials being responsible for the criminal act.”

He explained that the officials are Leudis Armando Freitas Ulloas; Emerson Jhorjan Delgado Azuaje; Henrique José Pacheco Medina and Eniyer Sosa Urbina, “who will be presented in the next few hours “for the crimes of qualified homicide, in a degree of frustration and misuse of organic weapons.”

He also highlighted that “it became known that the adolescent E.F.M., underwent surgery by doctors attached to the Dr. Miguel Perez Carreño General Hospital (Cranioencephalic Surgery and Tracheotomy) and was in a delicate state of health”.

Referring to expertise of criminal interest, he explained that “so far we have carried out: Ballistic expertise with 4 firearms; ATD expertise; Technical inspection at the site of the event and planimetric expertise”.

The prosecutor emphasized that the MP “under our administration will never allow any impunity in any case of human rights violation and will exercise maximum justice.”
