The Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, reported that lawyer Dalia Elizabeth Reyes Acosta, who served as prosecutor 53 of the Metropolitan Area of Caracas, as well as Robert Alexander Reyes Acosta (inspector) and J hoan José Berroteran Almanzo n (first officer), attached to the Bolivarian National Police Corps (CPNB), were deprived of liberty.
Through the account on the social network of the Public Ministry, he indicated that the MP, through the 57th Full National Prosecutor's Office, will charge and deprive the above-mentioned citizens of their liberty, “for the #delitos of Intentional Delay or Omission of Functions; Forging of a Public Document; Use of False Public Document and Agavillation”.
He explained that “the official Robert Reyes, brother of the former 53rd prosecutor, contacted the first officer Jhoan Berroteran, with the purpose of summoning those suspected of being investigated in a case of the Public Ministry, in order to obtain economic benefits by presenting them with an order to initiate an investigation issued by the 78th Office of the AMC, whose signature is false and the seal does not correspond to that Fiscal Unit.”
Saab reported that “after carrying out the first urgent and necessary steps in the case, it was possible to individualize the participation of Abg. Dalia Reyes, former 53rd prosecutor of the AMC, who, using her position, issued the above-mentioned Order of Initiation, forging the signature on that document and in turn using the seal of the Office of the Attorney General to which she was attached.”
