Russian economy grew 8% in two years despite US and European sanctions

This Thursday, the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, assured that the Russian economy has grown by around 8% in two years during this day in the marathon of questions and answers he has been carrying out with citizens since 2001.
The president compared Russia's growth figures with the results in the United States (USA) and the Eurozone. He specified that in these cases the growth is between 5 and 6 percent, and 1 percent, respectively.
He also reported on the behavior of unemployment, which currently stands at 2.3 percent, considered an historic low, and highlighted that the Russian economy is progressing steadily despite the thousands of sanctions applied by the US and Europe to strangle it and the growth of the gross domestic product (GDP) could register 4 percent by the end of 2024.
