Russia condemns Israel's attacks on Lebanon

The spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, reported that the Eurasian country strongly condemns Israel's attacks against Lebanon.



“We strongly condemn the large scale military attacks committed against Lebanon. We would like to highlight in particular our position of principle regarding the categorical inadmissibility of indiscriminate attacks, whose victims are civilians,” Zakharova emphasized in a statement.



He stressed that Russia urges an immediate cessation of hostilities to avoid further bloodshed and in order to move towards a political and diplomatic solution .
