Russia and Ukraine exchange 100 prisoners

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation confirmed on Thursday the exchange of 100 percent prisoners between Moscow and Kiev.

He explained that 100 Russian soldiers were returned to their country after being held captive in territory controlled by Ukraine, which received the same number of prisoners in return. The previous exchange took place on January 31, when 195 Russian soldiers were released.

In a statement, the entity indicated that, “in military transport aircraft of the Russian Air Forces, the released soldiers will be transferred to Moscow for treatment and rehabilitation in medical institutions of the Russian Ministry of Defense.”

The text adds that “all released soldiers are receiving the necessary medical and psychological assistance,” RT cites in a press release on its website.

The Russian Defense Ministry indicates that the authorities of the United Arab Emirates have provided humanitarian aid for the return of the Russian military.
