The delegations of the United States and Russia began this Monday, in Saudi Arabia, a new round of talks to advance an initial agreement on the conflict in Ukraine and a ceasefire in the Black Sea.

These meetings, preceded by a meeting between US and Ukrainian officials, are attended by senior representatives from both countries, reports the RT news agency.

On the United States side, they are led by Andrew Peek, of the National Security Council, and Michael Anton, of the State Department. Russia is represented by Grigory Karasin, chairman of the Federation Council's Foreign Affairs Committee, and Sergei Beseda, advisor to the Federal Security Service.
In this regard, Karasin stressed that the discussions are dynamic and reflect a mutual understanding between Moscow and Washington.

The Kremlin spokesman, Dmitri Peskov, reported that the resumption of the Black Sea initiative is being addressed, focused on ensuring maritime transport security, in addition to discussing a possible future agreement on Ukraine.
