Russia and Belarus reach agreements to give continuity to bilateral integration

This Friday, the presidents of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin and Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, held official talks at the Independence Palace of the Belarusian capital, Minsk to sign agreements on energy, security, trade and joint productions.

“Today is a good opportunity to hear what has already been done in response to our instructions (on economic issues). We will also hear from specialists. During the summary press conference, we will inform the media and tell them everything,” Putin told Lukashenko.

The leaders discuss joint commercial, economic and cooperation projects, the strengthening of security and cooperation in the humanitarian field.

For his part, Putin said on Thursday, after arriving in Minsk, that they would talk about the second phase of the Russian nuclear exercise, in which the Belarusian army will participate.

The president also explained that before his departure to Minsk, he discussed issues of collaboration in energy, agriculture and security with members of his Cabinet.
