This Friday, the head of Russian foreign intelligence, Sergei Naryshkin, said that Western intelligence agencies are training Ukrainian saboteurs to carry out provocations against Russian nuclear power plants.

“I can give examples of when Western intelligence services, mainly the British Secret Intelligence Service or MI6, train Ukrainian military sabotage and reconnaissance groups, whose plans include boycotting nuclear power plants in the Russian Federation,” Naryshkin said, according to the Russian news agency RIA Novosti in an interview.

Russia reportedly neutralized these Ukrainian groups last year.

In September 2023, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the arrested members of one of those groups confessed that they were trained under British direction.
