The top scorer of Vinotinto,
Salomón Rondón, humbly assured that they leave with a swollen chest because of
how they played against a rival of the stature of America.
In an offer for Fox Sports,
after the victory of Pachuca 2-1 against Club América's Eagles in the
semifinal of the CONCACAF Champions Cup to qualify for the
international tournament, the Venezuelan said he was very happy, “this is a group
that deserves the good things they are experiencing because they have worked hard”
“We have competed against
very difficult rivals being superior, knowing how to play this type of game,
despite our youth,” said Rondón.
On the other hand, he thanked
the entire Pachuca Group and all the people who allowed him to be in that club, “I
have to give back to you with work, sacrifice, the trust placed in me.
I am happy to be here and to contribute everything I can, if you have to run 95
minutes behind the ball, then you run”.
He also said that his family is
happy in Mexico and “that's what
motivates me, if my family is well, I'm fine and over these months I've seen, I've performed
, I've competed, I've scored goals, I've helped the team.”
