Rodríguez to the US: In our country, candidates and leaders are chosen by Venezuelans

The representative of the National Government delegation for dialogue, Héctor Rodríguez, called on all State institutions and political forces in the country to join the path to achieve peace.

“We salute Gerardo Blyde's rejection of violence and call on the country's democratic institutions and forces to contribute to peace and democracy,” he said, while reiterating that presidential elections will be held during 2024 with the political actors who want to register.

During statements made this Saturday, Rodríguez assured that, despite the pretensions of foreign powers, in our country the candidates and rulers are chosen by Venezuelans.

“We Venezuelans solve the problems of Venezuelans, that is the message we have sent to imperialism. We want to have relations with respect with all countries in the world,” he emphasized while stressing that the “irrationality” of the opposition lied to them, assuring them that by taking certain actions they could destroy the Revolution.

In the same way, he stressed that the sanctions imposed on our country are illegal and immoral because of all the harm they cause to the population.

In this regard, he pointed out that the National Government is willing to continue through dialogue to achieve the absolute lifting of sanctions for the good of the country.

“We are sure that by lifting the blockade we will accelerate economic growth and we will stabilize the social situation in Venezuela,” he emphasized.
