During the regular session this Tuesday, the president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, emphasized that the Venezuelan people will once again defeat fascism on July 28 with the re-election of Nicolás Maduro as head of state.

In this sense, he sent a strong message to the country's fascist extreme right, who, with their air of superiority, mocked “a worker from the Caracas Metro Company and that bus worker threw them over and will roll them over for good on July 28,” said Rodríguez.

He recalled that many opponents requested the activation of the TIAR (Inter-American Treaty of Reciprocal Assistance) to invade Venezuela because their intentions have never been to win elections to assume power as established by Venezuelan laws.

“These are the defenders of freedom, the same freedom that Brian Nichols (Undersecretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs of the United States) defends, just as they defended the government of Adolf Hitler in 1936, 1936, 1937,” he said.
